Diapriids are relatively unknown wasps of the superfamily
Proctotrupoidea. Their exact relation to other families in this
group is unclear. The family contains four subfamilies:
Ismarinae, Ambositrinae, Belytinae and the Diapriinae. Biologies
are diverse but most are pupal parasites of Diptera. For a
majority of species hosts are unknown. In addition to the early works of the German monk Keiffer, the following references are of particular use to those begining to study diapriid systematics:
